Project overview:

The VNF/ CNF LCM ( Virtualized Network Functions, cloud-native network function, Lifecycle Management) program established a central function, leveraging on our Partnering Strategy and supporting the MAs with relevant competencies, technology insights and business intelligence.

The purpose of the program is to industrialize the SW delivery chain for standardized VNF and CNF configurations on main stream Telco Cloud Infrastructures, such as VMware NFVi (vCloud/VIO and TKG) or RedHat (OSP or OpenShift), ensuring a cost-effective implementation and issue free deployment on customer site.

Furthermore, it provides an optional ‘Testing as a Service’ component, offering targeted System Verification activities for multiple traffic models, covering resilience and long-time stability scenarios, and providing extended performance & optimization data.

The included activities may differ from Network Function to Network Function depending on the scope and roadmap committed by BDGS Product Lines.

In short: the program ensures high customer satisfaction and improves the comapny margin by reducing CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) and CoSD

(Cost of Service Delivery).

Duration (min/ max): 6-18 months, with possibility to extend

Wanted Location: CET time-zone (at least 6 hours overlap)

Competence profiles:

· OpenStack Knowledge, VMware Knowledge

· Linux/Unix Knowledge

· Virtualized Domain Knowledge:

UDM (CUDB, HSS-FE, HLR), PC (MME, SAPC, EPG) or OSS (VNF LCM, EO-CM)

· Containerized Domain Knowledge:

5G Core Solution (PCC, PCG, CCxx, SC, EVNFM, cENM)

· Basic K8s knowledge (Degreed pathways, E/// internal training materials, kubernetes.io etc..) with some hands-on (i. e Install Mini-Kube)

· Very good English skills

· Pro-active, self-driven, team player, willing to share, learning attitude

Team composition: candidates must integrate seamlessly into existing team structures
